Hi, I am Camille and I am a marine biologist.

I want to share my passion for nature with you!
Let me tell you more about your favourite place in the world: underwater!

When I discovered the Caribbean…

With a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a master’s in Marine Science, I first came to the Caribbean during an internship with STINAPA, the national parks foundation of Bonaire.

What was meant to be a 6-month internship quickly turned into a life-changing experience. I fell in love with Bonaire’s stunning nature, diverse marine life, and warm community. Here, my passion for science and nature blended seamlessly with my love for diving, and I knew that the Caribbean was my new home.

Bonaire and Saba.

Eager to continue my work in the Caribbean, I accepted a position as a marine biologist and coral restoration expert at the Saba Conservation Foundation. I immigrated together with my dog Arnold to Saba and for two wonderful years I worked on coral relocation, built new coral nurseries, took part in marine mammal- and shark tagging expeditions, carried out ProLaris bird counts, and much more.

Besides being a dedicated diver, I am also an avid birder, nothing makes me happier than getting up at 5:30 on a Sunday to spot Bonaire’s boobies colony take off for the day.

One thing always stood out during my dives with tourists and friends: people’s curiosity and enthusiasm to learn about the underwater world. Sharing my knowledge doesn’t just bring me joy, it also helps create awareness about these fragile ecosystems.

That is why, after two unforgettable years on Saba, I decided to return to the island where it all began, Bonaire, and start my own company: Ecology Adventure Divers.

With this platform, I can share my passion, knowledge and love for nature with like-minded ocean lovers, inspiring them to protect the magical world beneath the surface.

Teaching others.
